Phone Link app problems with Samsung laptop

I have been using Windows 11's Phone Link app successfully with several computers (Dell, ASUS, Corsair, Intel NUC, etc.), until I recently purchased a Samsung Book3 Pro laptop. My mobile phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I suspect that Samsung's proprietary eco-system software is interfering with Windows' Phone Link app. I have contacted both Microsoft support and Samsung support. But none of them could help me.

The symptom is as follows. The two apps (laptop's Phone Link app and phone's Link to Windows app) are connected. But when I get messages on the phone, these messages don't show up on laptop's Phone Link app. I have to press the sync icon on the Phone Link app to retrieve messages. When I send messages from Phone Link app, they do go out but these messages don't show up on Phone Link app until I click the sync icon.

If you have suggestions, please do share. Thank you.

I have reset the Phone Link app several times but none of them solved the problems. Magically, there was an update on Android App store for Link to Windows. I updated the app and it works.

I use my Samsung S21 with Phone Link. I agree that Phone Link can be flaky at times. For me the hardest thing is getting everything synced the first time. After that it seems to work OK most of the time.

One gotcha with PhoneLink is with photos. I have found that if you drag and drop photos they are compressed and thus smaller than the the originals on the phone. To download the files without compressing them I use the Windows app called MyPhoneExplorer.
