Precision Screenshot Snipping

Folks, I use the Windows snipping tool dozens of times per day (Win + Shift + S) to get screenshots for technical reports. Oftentimes, the portion of the screen I'm snipping is supposed to be identical, time after time. For example, I may take a screenshot of a 3 inch square on the left side of the screen over and over. However, it's never precise. Every one is slightly different because my mouse picks a different pixel to define the corners of the snip. Is there a way to take precision screenshot snips so the same area of the window is captured exactly every time?

By the way, I do not have administrative rights to my machine, so I'm unable to install other 3rd party software that may be more advantageous.

I'm using Win11 Pro 23H2.

you could just take one, save it, open your pictures\screenshots folder and then ctrl+c then ctrl+v repeatedly to create copies of it...

Free Snipaste portable might help. Once you create a snip area it allows you to change the area size and position to your liking before selecting.

I'm pretty sure the OP wants to be able to take multiple captures of the exact same region and proportions, with different content in each, one after the other..., usually called Capture Last Region...

Yes exactly! That is my goal. Do the native Win11 tools have "capture last region" in them?

No.

I once had to capture a 127 page PDF of sheet music for projection..., I opened the PDF in Sumatra Presentation Mode, at the optimal zoom, created a ShareX keyboard shortcut for Capture Last Region..., arrow down to flip page and capture, one after the other. Was done in no time!
