I'm having these errors when I run DISM /...... restore health.

DISM.EXE: Failed validating command line: "C:\Windows\system32\dism.exe" /image:"C:\Boot\mt_abc_1\MountedMTWinPE\" /add-package /packagepath:"C:\Recovery\DISM60X64\WinPE-WMI.cab"

DISM.EXE: Failed validating command line: "C:\Windows\system32\dism.exe" /image:"C:\Boot\mt_abc_1\MountedMTWinPE\" /add-package /packagepath:"C:\Recovery\DISM60X64\WinPE-StorageWMI.cab"

DISM.EXE: Failed validating command line: "C:\Windows\system32\dism.exe" /image:"C:\Boot\mt_abc_1\MountedMTWinPE\" /add-package /packagepath:"C:\Recovery\DISM60X64\WinPE-StorageWMI_en-us.cab"

DISM API: PID=6556 TID=6252 Time_InternalToPublic failed - Time_InternalToPublic(hr:0x80070057) (56 times)

I'm not a professional and I don't understand what that means, I'll appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance

You have no system specs in your profile so we have no idea what you are working with.
It appears winpe is corrupted and/ or missing components.

You can attempt to fix winpe using the iso, but personally If dism is broken, I would do a repair install.

@Rollback_Jockey , thank you for your answer, and I'll do that and come back with the result.

@glasskuter , Thank you for your answer. This Window install is fairly new about three months old, and I'm not the type of user whom install and uninstall software frequently. Am I suppose to make an in place upgrade still?

glasskuter is offline, so I’ll chime in. She’s talking about a repair install. Worst case, it finds nothing to repair and your system is just as it is now. Best case, your issue is resolved.

What is the full command you tried to run? You only quoted part. I just wonder if your syntax was wrong.

Did you run sfc /snannow first? Did it give the all clear?

"I before E, except after C" is a lousy fule as more words breech it than comply.

If sfc /scannow runs without errors (e.g., "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"), there's no need to run DISM, as it indicates that both the system files and the underlying image are in good condition.

I say this because sfc is quick. But I reckon you probably know a lot more than me. I do understand your reasons for saying DISM first.

My mate, ChatGPT, tells me this about the rule i before e, except after c.
  • Words that comply with the rule: About 900 in the English language.
  • Words that breach the rule: Over 1,400 common exceptions.
Natch!

They repair different things. I have seen SFC say things were okay, and DISM say they weren't, because they check different things. Also my links were from Microsoft. I wager they know more than I do about Windows, sometimes.

I did used the complete command, just wrote this to shorten the title. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Yes I started with sfc.ex /scannow
