problem with update and pin

Hi. New member, hope you can help. Running ver 23h2, Update will not run, tells me I have corrupted files, need to reinstall windows. Every way I know to do that requires entering my password or pin. I was using a pin, but now the system doesn't recognize it. Changing it doesn't help. Deleting the pin option doesn't help. The system still asks for the pin, gives me no option to use my password. What now?

What steps are you planning if you can pass the pin block?

Try running this batch file. You'll need to unzip it first. It contains sfc /scannow, DISM and chkdsk commands run in sequence so it can take 10 minutes. Reboot device after. Hopefully it will find and fix file corruption(s) but sometimes needs running more than one time.
