Ever heard of fan extension cables? I was using them with my first builds in the 90's. My current build has some. And some companies like Noctua, will even supply some with certain fans or packages.

So, I'm going to say it again: GIGABYTE didn't offer much in the way of software for controlling fans apart from the CPU fan until they started coming out with the Aorus line.

I submit that my statement is still correct.

Gigabyte Control Center

Hi all, I've intalled the Gigabyte Control Center a few times, with a few updates apart. I'd like to see and be able to adapt my fan curve, but it still doesn't seem to work or recognize my Gigabyte OC 3070. What could be going on? Or how else could i change my fan curves?

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya. Usually I just call them system boards but then it sounds too much like 'sister boards'.

Rats. Sys 2 doesn't do the job either. I kind of thought that might be the case but I had to try it. This is an older platform and not exactly the ultimate in what GIGABYTE had to offer back in the day. Seems the best solution is to get a different fan for the thing or plug in a resistor. Glad I don't own it. ;) Not much really ain't a whole lot. The exceptions only prove the rule.

    I own too many laptops: A Dell touch screen with Windows 11 and 6 others (not counting the other four laptops I bought for this household.) Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
