I have a question I hope someone can answer. First some background. I just acquired 2 new LG UN32UN880 4K monitors with 1X Display Port, 2X HDMI and 1X USB C inputs. I tried to hook these up using a Mini DP (Video card output) to HDMI (monitor input) cable to my AMD Radeon WX2100 Pro but I can't seem to get the monitors to display 4K video. I installed the correct driver from LG in Win 11, and I'm using AMD's Software PRO Edition (24.Q2) Video software, but checking both the Radeon configuration on the video card and the adapter settings in Windows Device Manager, the available resolution setting show no resolutions higher than 1920X1080. All of the equipment should easily support 4K video but I'm at a loss to figure out how to configure this. I thought it should be PNP, but maybe not.
The only thing I haven't examined are the video outputs and the cable hookups. The monitor supports DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. The WX2100 supports DP 1.4 (It has 2 mini DP and one regular DP, no HDMI). I haven't been able to find a clear enough explanation anywhere eluding to which output should be connected to which input to get 4K. I'm thinking the monitor isn't getting the right signal to tell the video card (and/or Windows) it's 4K capable. So, at this point, I have 2 really big 1920X1080 displays.
Anybody have any ideas?
