I've had a beard for years. I stop trimming it in September and let it grow until warmer weather.

Well, I missed buying it on the last stupid Zephyr drop. Had it in my cart (as did many), but it would check out. Stupid servers. There's another drop today. I'll try to get one for my wife. You can only purchase one. I'll be happy with just one for her for the time being.

Well, that was another failed attempt. As Einstein said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different result." That must be me. I had it in my cart (again), and nothing. Razer is getting all types of flack for such a mismanaged distribution. Why not allow preorder? I don't even want to look at the mask now, I'm so disgusted by Razer's poor management of selling items.

Why would you want one of those? If it's because of Covid, all i can say is wow. . . Ain't hardly anyone wearing masks around here anymore. I know i'm not. This crap is just about to be done. Numbers are going down, not that it was as serious as the government made it out to be anyway.

You might want to check the scientific literature prior to thinking it's almost done. A subvariant of the Delta variant has just been discovered that is more deleterious than the regular Delta variant. Also, number are on the rise. I have quite good reasons for wanting two. It's in this thread.

Just because the news isn't publishing things doesn't make it untrue. The news is controlled by what sales, and people were tired of reading about the virus. Tell the hospitals who are at or near maximum capacity with cases of COVID-19 that things are getting better.

People did not want to be included in those figures, if they could help it.
Covid-19 was the third biggest killer in 2020, behind Heart Disease and Cancer. So you were more likely to die of Covid than through unintentional injuries. Problem with Covid is that it is contagious and can spread, if no action was taken. So you could find yourself dying of it simply because someone else passed it on to you. This appears to be more of a problem for the over 50's age group and for people with a pre-existing medical condition.
I remember the H5N1 Bird Flu scare that arrived in the late 1990's. People were dying of it but not many took the threat seriously. The problem seemed more contained and H5N1 threat is now wiped out in my country. The problem with Covid is that it did not remain contained, and it virulently spread rapidly across the world. It is an invisible threat, and you cannot tell if is on you or someone else. I don't actually know of anyone dying of Covid, but the hospitals and care homes report a different story.
Anyway, the science is catching up. The more people are jabbed, the less chance the vulnerable will have of catching it.

Well, after reading the Tom's Hardware review, I think it's probably good I couldn't get my hands on one or two of these. They indicate it's a poor fit for certain people and that the fans are loud - you can hear the fans across the room when they're on high. They gave it a 2 out of 4. Oh, well. I guess we'll have to stay in quarantine for a longer period than we had hoped.

It could be worth your while looking for another review of same product. I rarely rely on one review, as I don't like giving reviewers the status of a God that can tell me what to think, and what not to think. So I often search out a second or third opinion.

I found two reviews that might be helpful. There are others on the web, that you can read in your own time.

Thanks for these. Neither review seems to be glowing. Plus, we wanted the masks for safety and airflow. Razer touted the fans, which theoretically sound great, but failed to mention how loud they are. In short, we can't wear these to Mass, which is what I wanted for my wife.

I knew they were big, but they are way too big. As indicated, the Project Hazel mask looked smaller and less... ostentatious, for lack of a better word. You can see the difference between the two in the first review. As two of the three reviewers I read say, maybe Zephyr 2.0 will be better.
