PC- HP G5 800 mini, i5-9500
Windows version- Windows 11 pro 24H2
NIC- Intel 1219-LM

I have been having this issue only since yesterday. Whenever I try to wake up my pc from sleep using the windows app on my macbook or iphone, it shows an error. I bought this refurbished PC a week ago and it was working fine before this. I know that it's not a hardware issue because I can wake up the PC using the Wolow app. And, I also have an HP G4 800 mini which is fully updated and waking up smoothly, so I know the issue is specific to the G5. Haven't checked the NIC model on the G4 yet though...

The RDC connection is working smoothly without any issues when the pc is awake. The problem starts only when it goes to sleep. I am using it as a headless pc just to run softwares that I otherwise wouldn't be able to run on my mac. And I like the convenience of waking up the pc simply from the windows app itself as soon as I log into the remote session, instead of waking up the pc from the wolow app first and then accessing the pc on windows app.

I have tried installing a clean copy of windows 11 pro, and the windows app was able to wake up the pc for a while, before I updated the NIC driver directly from the intel website.

If anyone have any solution for this, please let me know! Thanks in advance :)

So are you saying one WoL application works and another does not? Also do you mean via RPC on not RDC? Most WoL applications use a magic packet to wake a system which has nothing to do with RPC
