Recovery Drive, Any Reason to Update?

Once a recovery thumb drive is created, is there a need to update it periodically? If so, what would be the suggested/recommended time period?

How far would you want it to be out-of-date? There's now a yearly Version Upgrade [changed from twice-yearly] and always the monthly Patch Tuesday Build updates plus any other updates deemed necessary.

On all of my imaging programs I use, I remake the recover drive I use for that program every time the programs is updated.

We generate a fresh (Production) ISO every 3-4 months, or after one of the major Windows updates, whichever comes sooner. I believe Windows will "catch up" as part of the regular monthly Patch Tuesday updates, so IMO, there's no need to go crazy with this.

You should recreate it after a build upgrade e.g. 21H2 to 22H2.

Right, after a Version Upgrade such as from 21H2 to 22H2 the Build updates are for the newer Version.
