We have 2 desktop PCs in the house both running 11 PRO both 22H2.

On mine if I set it to sleep then to wake it I move the moue press escape and a screen comes up where I just press OK and then I'm on to the desktop. Even better would be to not have this screen come up if possible - I have no password and it boots straight to the desktop.

My wifes also boots straight to the desktop and has no password. However if you wake it from sleep it asks for the password - and there isn't one , so the only way I have found is then to restart.

Can I set up both to wake from sleep straight to the desktop?

    Have discovered 31/01/2022 Internet speed at router 41 mbps. At this PC 9. Internet is via wired ethernet.
I think:

Open the Settings app by pressing and holding Windows + I keys. Next, go to Accounts > Sign-in options. Under the Additional Settings section, click on the If you've been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again? option and choose Never.

I’m not on my PC atm, using iPad.

Have you setup a Windows Hello Pin? That should get you into windows from sleep if you have.

This is the correct solution - BUT there's a catch. You will only see that option if your account as a password. You need to temporarily set a password so that you can change the option to 'Never'.

You can then set a blank password again. The option will remain in place, but cannot now be changed. You'd need to set a password again to do that.

Interesting, thanks. Personally as I have always used a MS Account, I’ve always had a password and I wasn’t aware of this. Good to know 🙏

Mostly I use local accounts with no password. Windows 10 was the same, this option can only be seen and set for a local account if it has a password.
