Repairing "special" folder icons in 24H2

Been rocking a very stable 24H2 build since 2/7/2025 - but today - oddly I noticed just two of my "special folder" icons are suddenly compromised:

And - I also have the oddball "double" Onedrive icon.

For the record - when I build a new box - Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures and Video - all get manually moved (using the correct Location->Move) to my D drive. And really have not had any issues.

What's the latest info on repairing these two? As usual - I have found about a million old posts on assorted fixes from the past - is it still as simple as refreshing the icon cache?

Appreciate any update info on this.

Wow. Never realized that I even tweaked the "size" of the icons in these areas. Even fixed my Desktop user icon as well.

Not clear how or why.

Reducing the icon size does affect such icons as "Contacts", "Favorites" and "Links" (turning them into plain folders), bit not "Pictures" or "Videos". Both "Pictures" or "Videos" are supposed to retain customized icons even when you make them very small.

Even fixed my Desktop user icon as well.
Fixed what exactly? In both "before" and "after" screenshots you posted the desktop icon looks pretty much the same.

Well - that's the way it went here. Not going to spend a bunch of time wondering why.

As noted in the post I linked to - my "desktop" (user) folder - was a plain manila folder as well - until I CTRL-tweaked the icon size on the desktop.

Now the folder is returned back to one with my user "silhouette" on it - as it should be.
