Hello,

After installing my new SSD 870 4TB (F:) and after migrate my exist boot disk (C:) i want to make it as my primary drive to run the OS. Unfortunately, i cant do that from the BIOS because my mouse and the keyboard does not working when i go to BIOS.

How can i make the drive (F:) as my main OS drive without needing to do anything in BIOS?

Thank you!

You're doing things the hard way.
Get some 3rd party backup software, make a backup of your current Windows install.

Then attach your new SSD, and use the backup software's bootable media to "restore" the backup you made, to the new SSD.
That way "msconfig" will take care of itself.

You give no information about your system nor why you can't get into bios but I suspect it's because you use BT. One must always be prepared to make sure they never get locked out of bios or being able to boot from and use recovery media. I haven't gotten a hold of a system in years that didn't have usb support in bios so in most cases, a cheap usb mouse and keyboard is all you need. I've not seen any UEFI bios where Bluetooth devices will work. Depending on its age it may be also be equipped with PS2 ports for the older connection type of externals. A few newer systems still offer these connections as well. The point I'm trying to make is be prepared.

Just to confirm, I use BT mice with my Notebooks but have to keep USB-connected mice available when needing to access the BIOS. Another issue can be that many BIOSes only support USB 2 ports, have to wait for the OS to load drivers for USB 3.

Create a restore image with Macrium but still the same. Nothing changed. Still boot from the old drive. I can see everything from drive C: to new SSD but NOT boot from new SSD.

Make this 2 steps:

Quickie Macrium - backup and/or creating bootable Rescue Media guide...

->

Restore from a backup, from within Windows...

Need to complete and the other steps?

Not really.
Leave the old SSD unhooked.
If you decide you want to reuse it... you can wipe it with Diskpart.

Sorry, but i lost you. What can i do to boot from new drive after the 2 steps completed?

After a restart, Windows ask me to select which Windows 11 I want to boot.

I select the second choise and get this error:

    Windows 11 64bit
Hello,

I make your steps but now after restart I get the error from the above image.

Also, don't let me to move the mouse or the keyboard to select any of the choises give me.

Now, seems that I'm stuck.
I have the same configuration as you, except I have different drive letters, which is immaterial, I choose default OS in msconfig by clicking on it and setting it as default.

I do not see where anyone has suggested this. Bios must show first boot device as Windows Boot Manager.
After restore Replace old drive with new one. Do Not have any other drives connected at this time. Boot from Macrium boot media and select 'fix boot problems'

Maybe you should get a cheap wired mouse to be able to repair your computer.

When you use a wireless usb mouse and keyboard, you may not be able to use them in BIOS if you disable usb mouse and keyboard functionality in BIOS settings. This is a trap.

A bluetooth mouse also may not work in BIOS.

I cannot press any F option or the Esc to move on.
This happen with a wireless or wired keyboard.

Is there a technical issue with the forum ? My post either appears with a lag of several minutes or never. Maybe my connection to this forum has a problem.
