I'm not creating all those dwords. LOL
They're probably tied to whatever program put them there, and to the zillion other places in the registry, that your tweak program... "adjusted" as well.

But... it was still a good idea. ^^

The ONLY "HideSignOut" I have in the registry, is the one in @Brink 's tutorial...

  2. No action items ("Sign out" and "Switch users") appear in the three dot expansion.

Indeed it is, but if I really turn up the contrast on pokeefe0001's posted image I can see that it really is there where it should be - just in white text on a near-white background. Also 'missing' but visible after processing the image is the account name 'Patrick'. Click where you know that 'Sign out' should be and it should sign you out.

Patrick can prove that it really is there by clicking Start, then the user icon, then pressing the tab key. it will select the 'Sign out' icon. By design, in Windows you can do almost anything with the keyboard than you can do with a mouse, once selected just press 'Enter'.

It wasn't a waste of time. You've highlighted (pun intended) a design issue with this new style account manager popup. You can, as a workaround, change your Windows mode to 'light' to get black text.

And now I can reproduce your 'design fault'. It happens when you have Windows mode: Dark, app mode: Light, and 'Transparency effects' turned off.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

I was hoping someone had figured out how to tweak that color scheme. I have my standard color scheme set to Custom: Dark Windows Mode, Light App Mode, with Cool blue as the highlight color. Transparency doesn't seem to make a difference. It's what my users are used to. I personally use Dark App Mode, but most of my users prefer light.
Guess I'll file a defect with Microsoft and see if it goes anywhere. MS is getting really sloppy with their development in that past few years.
