In order to get (and test) that 'free' package I'll have to register with my full private adress data, which is not what I would like.
Even Microsoft or Google do not require private data when you register an account!

I got this few hours ago, but not yet installed to see if it works. This is a excellent offer!
@Kees, You don't need to enter your FULL private address if you don't like! Enter another address!
They will not come knock on your door to verify :)

If anyone installed it, plz confirm that license is working.

I have been using it for a few years now, never gave my info. Works just like office products and is compatible with Word and Excel files

Oh this is not MS Office 2021 !? I thought it was MS Office

In this case I think I will probably stick to LibreOffice

I've tried Libreoffice and it never converts MS Word and Excel files correctly.
No problems with SoftMaker...

I grabbed it, but, can anyone post some screenshots and info?

I don't want to install it if it sucks!

Is it a one time/limited time activation or can I uninstall it and give it away?

Are there ads, in app purchases, etc.?

It doesn't look exactly like Word or Excel does, but close enough for me.
You can uninstall it easily. You get the activation code to your email address, and is good for a year. No you cannot share the code as it is linked to your email address.

You mean it only works for a year OR it can activate for a year and once activated it will continue working endlessly?
What if after a year of use you clean install again windows?

Could you please explain how you do this? Just copy "C:\Program Files\SoftMaker Office 2021" folder and move it to anywhere I want?
Or do you use another method?

I wouldn´t worry about privacy problems with SoftMaker. It´s German software and therefore it should comply with the EU standards.

I have try it for several years and I don´t remember having to send them my address. But I do receive occasional email ads.

The interface is very nice, and it possibly offers better compatibility with MS Office than LibreOffice. But the free version is limited, and the more capable versions are not free. So, for serious work, good but nor free.
