Merry Christmas to anybody who might stumble upon this on Christmas Day. Because of what I think is a keyboard problem I've been flailing about in Settings looking at everything that might conceivably relate to a keyboard. Since a keyboard is a device, I thought it might conceivably make sense to look into Bluetooth and devices > Devices. When what to my wandering eyes should appear, but this;

Except for the fact that the keyboard doesn't work, I've seen no other indication of an error. Might this explain my keyboard problem? And whether it does or not what in the hell am I supposed to do about this driver error? If it said which driver I might have a clue. But, assuming it probably is or at least might be the keyboard. I did a search for keyboard. And here is the result:

At this point, I could not be more befuddled. I would greatly appreciate any advice which might unfuddle me.

Thanks much and a Merry Christmas to all. Bob

What is YOGA?
Lenovo Yoga is touted as one of the premier 2 in 1 laptop/tablet combination devices that ain't cheap. When they work, they're great running little machines, but when they break, I've found them to be a nightmare to work on.

Don't know about them now, but for years Yoga and Lenovo Flex had a bad hinge design issue. Lenovo knew it but would never re-design the devices. Hinges would break the bottom case as well as sometimes the screen. Lenovo would never honor these issues under warrantry. They blamed it on "customer misuse". They finally settled a class action lawsuit over it this last spring. They also lost another class action suit because of screen issues they woudn't fix.

Test if it's the keyboard by plugging in a USB model or maybe a Bluetooth connection, depends upon what you have available.

Well ... what a snafu of a hot mess this has become! I stepped through a lot of the dialogues in settings and control panel, but couldn't find anything more specific than that original message saying "Status: Driver error" in my original post. So I thought that a system restore would be almost certain to work and an OK solution but …long story short, it's now in a reboot loop. The loop is interactive, allowing me to make certain choices, but no matter what choice I make it ends up rebooting. I must have entered my bit locker key a half dozen times.

Call Lenovo. Was able to talk to a person after a very short period of time. Surprised, it being the day after Christmas. The support person had me try one more time, but then decided that my machine would have to be sent into Lenovo for repair. Fortunately, it's still under warranty.

I'm irritated that this happened. And that the error indication lacked any precision. And that what should have fixed the problem, i.e. the restore, did not. Was this a Microsoft screwup or a Lenovo screwup?

Before sending it in to Lenovo, I might try a repair install first.

Until I got the computer back I'd go with the Hardware issue.

I discovered during all of those reboots that it was not a hardware problem. I know that because, without thinking, I tried to use the laptop keyboard to enter the bit locker key. And that worked!
