Personalization Switch to Next Windows Spotlight Picture in Windows 11

This tutorial will show you how to switch to the next Windows Spotlight picture on the desktop for your account in Windows 11.

Windows Spotlight is an option for your theme, lock screen, and desktop background that displays different Bing daily background images, and occasionally offers fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on the lock screen.

If you don't like the current Windows Spotlight picture on your desktop, you can change it to one of four available Bing daily images.


Here's How:

1 Right click on the Learn about this picture desktop icon. (see screenshot below)

2 Click/tap on one of the four available images you want to switch to for your desktop.

When I right click on that icon, the only option given is "open." Does anyone know what the problem could be?

No problem. Those options had been removed by Microsoft. This below is what's available now.

hi how can I change that desktop icon menu (picture icon) to the camera icon? I cannot change the background picture, it only allows me to choose one out of four.

If you are referring to the Learn about this picture desktop icon, then I'm not aware of a way to change it's icon.

If you don't want one of the four available Spotlight images, then you could use one from below as a picture for your desktop background instead.

um.. What I mean is that there two Lean about this picture desktp icons, one with picture icon and another one with camera. I want to have the one with camera icon, not the picture icon above. I want to know how to change

The camera icon was the old icon.
