id just like to ask if this would work before i try,
im not sure how to do it and will probably take me some time.
I had a NAS a while back running xpenology i believe it was dsm 6.2.3, it became dormant and unused for a long time but had a lot of stuff stored on there, when i went to boot it up again nothing happened,
The NAS is dead so im hoping to install synology dsm 6.2.3 on my laptop as a virtual machine and then connect one of the hard disks (they were originally configured as raid 1) to my pc and the virtual machine will see all my files from the disks.
does this sound right and would it work?
