The App of One Drive

I am not sure if O.D. is an app or not. If in wrong forum, please address for me. Anyway, today it got cute - It sent me a file entitled, "your memories of today" with pictures. Do not want this little feature. How do I disable? Thanks.

You can sign out of One Drive or uninstall it if you don't want or need it.

Sign in to your OneDrive account on the Web, go to Options/Notifications...

Hello again -- I really am not sure if I want it at all. It takes up space saving many photos and documents, yes?. If I have an external drive which I use to back up some stuff, that's really/basically all I need right? Or maybe I'll just take Edwin's suggestion and disable that feature. Thank you to all.

If you backup to an external, my opinion is OneDrive is useless (not an opinion shared by everyone here) Although it is a second level of backups I suppose (unless you go past your allowed allotment and have to pay for more space. Microsoft 365 comes with 1TB of cloud)
For many, OneDrive is the first thing they disable/remove when installing Windows.

However, as OneDrive has most likely already BackedUp a lot of your stuff (user folders including photos) I decline to show you how to disable it, it scares the bejeeves out of me, I fear when removing it, a user might lose files, it has happened.

As they say in Star Wars (they don’t really) I am not the tutor you are looking for.

There are tutorials in here, Patsy, but again, as OneDrive has already helped itself to your stuff… I worry. BUT the heavens shine, you have an external backup system. Joy!
