I am not sure if AnyBurn free version (<— Instructions) allows to edit the ISO, there are other ways
Download Anyburn Free (I have the Pro versions so I am unaware of the Free versions restrictions)

Opening the ISO in this app, you can copy/paste/delete from the media.

To do this from an actual CD Disk, you would need to save the CD to an ISO first. I think AnyBurn can do that also.

An ISO image can be mounted to a drive letter by simply double-clicking the ISO image file in File Explorer. Once mounted, you could access it just like any other disk and you can copy individual files or folders, selected files or folders, etc. just as you would with a HDD, SSD, flash drive, etc.

The bottom line is that once mounted, any tools you use to copy files from other drives should work with your ISO image as well.

EDIT: If you are working with a physical DVD (Windows does not come on CD), then treat it as any other drive. Anything you use to copy files should work with the DVD with the exception that the DVD will be read only.

The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

I just used File Explorer to Mount an .iso file, HBCD, on a Win11 Notebook without an ODD , opened a folder on it then ran a program, HWINFO, just as if on an HDD or SSD. If desired I could have saved the program to a different drive.

7-Zip will extract files from an ISO and a Windows image e.g. install.wim.
This is the easiest way for normal users. Open" \sources\install.wim" on the ISO, and browse directory [5].

Index [5] is normally the Pro Edition. Just be careful on what you intend to do. If you've updated a system, the file version from the ISO may be out of date and cause errors if it's a DLL. Normally, missing or corrupted Windows files should be repaired by using SFC or DISM /Restore-Health.

On US English consumer edition media Pro is Index # 6.
