So continuing on this post
I found bad ram and exchanged it for this ram,
F5-5600J2834F16GX2-TZ5NR
Upon bringing it home and installing it there is also a bad stick in this sealed package.
Board single slot is A2. Two stick config is A2/B2
Where S1/S2 is Stick 1, Stick 2:

S1 in A2 = Runs
S1 in A2, S2 in B2 = No post
S2 in A2 = No post

Is there any reason it would post (more than once) with one stick but also not post (more than once) with another stick in the same slot? Is this rectifiable?

Is this DDR5 DRAM? If so, you may need to give it a while to post. I have not worked with a whole lot of DDR5 based systems yet, but on those few that I have worked on, I have noticed that after a memory swap it seems to take several minutes to post. My understanding is that DDR5 memory goes through a "training" phase that can take a few minutes on first boot.

As an example, I have a friend with a laptop using DDR5 memory. We upgraded it from 16GB RAM to 64GB and at first, we thought that we had bad RAM. After letting it sit several minutes it finally booted. Subsequent boots were fast without any delay.

The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

I reseated both sticks and it ran, this may be my own humble mistake and haste. I'll run test tonight. Otherwise, apologies for wasting your time.

Seating RAM in Asus motherboards can be a pain sometimes. I know, I have been there :( . I think the idea of having a lock clip on only one side of the stick is not a feature, but just being cheap. Good to see you got it sorted.
