For clarity, my post isn't specifically about "LastPass" or Gary's faith in it. I just posted the article as I remember Gary using them.

With that, whether an app I swear by, or one sworn by others, my point is nothing is impervious. Thus, my locks on doors analogy.

Anything that can be encrypted, can be decrypted.

They said back in the day that Content Scrambling System (CSS) couldn't be decrypted, but it happened with DVD Decrypter. Others followed afterwards.

I think it's only a matter of time before a serious LastPass breach happens. It's a BIG target in the hacker world. They don't hack it for no reason. They'll keep working on it. It'll be worth millions.

The last thing I would do is trust with blind faith. Please give me credit for not being blindly stupid. I did my research before choosing to use LastPass and the possibility that the encryption used can be reliably decrypted is mathematically astronomical.

While nothing is impossible, I do find it a bit of a stretch that some feel encryption methods can be so easily overcome.

Trust me, this isn't TV where the hacker makes it look like child's play. It'll take a massive undertaking just to get past a firewall, then into the system, then getting into and reading the data. Not an easy task learned on YouTube.

Global companies and governmental agencies get attacked all the time. That's life and they understand this, and thus why the do everything to thwart being hacked, but sometimes the bad guy gets a win. And why, even after a breech, there are still safeguards. And why people like myself, and Gary trust these companies. We understand there exists is no magic bullet that will make any company or service impenetrable. So we'll take the next best thing.... "mathematically astronomical" - as in by the time you get in, the data may be of no use

Lastly, as any cyber security expert would tell you, security is only as strong as its weakest link.... the end user.

Even tho, Windows 11 is slightly different on the surface... it's still manageable through the Windows 7 Control Panel, Group Policy Editor is still there, most of the registry values are still shared with past versions of Windows as well, so... this upgrade proved to be a smooth ride for me. Wouldn't even call it a New OS - more like a feature pack. I mean, moving from Windows to all kinds of Linux Distros or even Android - now that... was a different experience - even a learning experience (since i had to learn A LOT of new stuff - that i wasn't familiar with in the least from using Windows previous to that). But from Windows 10 to Windows 11, again - doesn't really feel like an upgrade (if most of the relevant stuff is still there & being able to change in the old fashion way). As for the surface part - like the taskbar being place on the middle - i actually prefer it like this (feels more intuitive - more ergonomic). Even more than that, seems better polished - since it runs smother (more responsive) than Windows 10 - where i felt compelled to replace it with Open Shell to get the same level of responsiveness.

The only thing i didn't/don't like about the new UI - is tied to the Power Options - where you have only 3 predefined settings without an advanced menu or to option to add a personalized profile - "while using the new UI". Cause as mentioned above - you can't still use the good old Windows 7 Control Panel - and change setting the old fashion way. Yet, those settings don't transcend/appear on the new UI.

And back to the new start menu... while playing with it - i didn't/don't feel the need to create shortcuts for every App installed - beyond the apps use daily or even multiple times in a day (which i prefer to have them pinned to Start / have only 3 shortcuts on the taskbar). Not anymore, instead - i simply type a helping word from the name of that App in the Search bar while using the Start tab - and voila - it's good to go (fast enough - yet, a clean approach - just the way i like it). Sure, you probably could do the same even in Windows 10 - if only the Start menu "was this smooth/responsive". I remember upgrading Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and being so pleased with the new look - and yet, no matter how much i tweaked it (without using an external tool) - could never get used to its unpolished/unresponsive Start Menu. RocketDock & Open Shell became my bread & butter for accessing apps and settings (the clean and reasonably responsive way). So yeah, i guess that's about it. There's really not much i could say about Windows 10 feature pack - which is officially known & called Windows 11.

I even imagine Brink having a Deja Vu - while making tutorials for Windows 11: Oh, wait... this is the same. The same., the same, the same... AND ONCE AGAIN: THE SAME! Dafaq!?! Where are the New Settings!? Ah found one!

I have settled in quite nicely with windows 11. Had the Task Manager messed up with the 22621.900 build update today, but fixed it with spapakons Post #20 Task manager dark problem I forgot to thank spapakons for that! Just did. Thanks to that I got the 21H2 TM back. And yes I'm keeping with the new start menu! I'll get used to it. Still trying to deal with the right-click menu...What were they thinking??? File Explorer, I'm getting used to it, but miss Windows 10 Explorer. Transitioning from Windows 95 to Windows 98 to Windows 98SE (By Passing Win ME. It was the shorted lived Windows OS Ever!) Then came Windows XP... I Fell In Love Immediately with the look and feel of that OS as a whole... I had issues moving into Windows 7! But becoming one of my favorites of all time. Windows 10 was another new jump for me. It was quite different from 7. But grow to like it... A Lot. And now with Windows 11. Not even a month in with a full-time install. Like all the others, it will take some time to get used to. I don't think I'll ever LOVE IT like XP or 7. Let's wait and see what All Might MS has in store for use. So far they Fuc%^* with TM, And "Sorry for reiterating but" A fix was found. Thank's again spapakons. "By the way, I still think resmon is a good replacement" By the way if you are having issues with Task Manager in Build 22621.900 click on this link and fix it. "Credit to spapakons" Restore the Old Task Manager in Windows 11 22H2 Here's a look at the change you'll see.

Yeah.
It's like a video game to me.
There's tons of side quests, boss monsters... and every now and then some decent loot.
Lately though... it's been mostly Orc hordes.
