URL not clickable in Thunderbird (But is in Gmail)

I am having the same issue as the following:

Still new to Thunderbird! URLs not clickable links

Maybe I set something incorrectly. Perfectly good URL in inbox mail message is a live link when I open the message on my phone (in GMail) and when I open it in Windows Mail (app), but is just a plain text line in my new Thunderbird. What must I do to give life to the link? (See Frankenstein...

Links in Gmail are properly hyperlinked but not in thunderbird. When viewing the message body as plain text in thunderbird they do become hyperlinked. I have multiple other mailboxes that require html and thus do not want to have to keep switching between them. I have triple checked network.protocol-handler.external-default as true.

Here is how the links appear. From top to bottom is: Outlook, Windows Mail, Gmail, and Thunderbird. All but Thunderbird are clickable.

I see your Windows 10 OS (Build/Version 10 22H2 Build 19045) is way out of date. That build was released in October 2022.

How come you have not been updated to latest build? Also what version of Thunderbird are you running?
Incompatibilities can arise if one is up-to-date and the other isn't. Make sure they are both up to date.

That is the final feature update Windows 10 will ever get. Windows 10 won't receive any more feature updates

Ya but I cannot find the "Content type column". It was reinstalled yesterday.

Nevermind I found it. Neither HTTP and/or HTTPS are listed.

They should not be - that is old.

I'm using Thunderbird 115 and newer - mine does not have it either.

When you move your mouse over a link, the the mouse cursor change?

If so, go to Settings --> General --> Fonts & Colors --> tap on the Colors button and verify that you have Underline links checked.

Also verify the colors above that for links.

If not, then something is definitely off. I have no issues with links in Thunderbird, 115 and above.

The links are just normal text; not clickable. This is for received emails. I emailed myself a link to test and that does work correctly.

That is odd. I'm receiving links perfectly fine.

Emails received from a particular account / particular email system, perhaps? Since it works for you sending yourself an email, something weird is happening. One of the help threads I was reading mentioned that Thunderbird might interpret the links differently if they are anchored differently. The link you posted in the screenshot is from goodwill, is this from a newsletter or something?

Yes, the emails are all from the same two accounts/system. This is not a one-off either, I had one of the sender accounts URL's fail a couple months back and then a month later the second one failed. They have all continued to fail since and have had to resort to changing the message body to plain text to be clickable. Regardless, given that it works on all other platforms I do not see how it can be the cause.

Yes, for the most part. The email body link I care about is non-functional, but the senders host website is still linked at the top.

Hmmm. Sounds like a bug report for BugZIlla then. I cannot see why the one sender's emails are not hyperlinks, yet become hyperlinks when you swap the body to plain text - that, intuitively, is the exact opposite of what should be happening.
