USB Device Not Recognized

So I have an NZXT N7 Z790 Motherboard, NZXT Function 2 Keyboard and an NZXT Lift 2 Starfield Mouse. At random times I'm getting the message USB Device Not Recognized (sometimes I don't even get a message) and either the Keyboard or Mouse will stop responding (even though the keyboard RGBs are still on there is no response). I have to literally unplug it and plug it back in. Sometimes this doesn't happen and sometimes it's doing it all day long. Things I've tried is adjusting the USB Root Hub in Device Manager so that windows does not turn it off to save power. I've disabled Fast Startup. I've tried plugging the devices into different USB ports on my system, but it's still doing it and it's really aggravating.
My system is completely updated per the NZXT site and the provided drivers and firmware. It's completely updated via Windows Update. I also have the NZXT Cam software that initially was causing problems because I had it running at startup and now I've disabled that. However, I don't want to completely uninstall the software because it's how I have the ability to update the RGBs on my system.
I tried looking for clues in Event Viewer and I'm unsure where to look or even if the error would be listed there. I'm mainly trying to figure out why does this keep happening and how I can fix it. I notice a lot of times it's when I'm not actively using the device. I don't think I've had the keyboard or mouse stop working as I'm using it, but more when it's idle.

have you tried downloading the drivers online?
There is no individual drivers for this hardware it’s just the NZXT Cam software that I already have.

control panel > security and maintenance > maintenance > reliability monitor

and see if any errors are recorded to give you an idea of the cause.

I have a similar problem with my Lenovo laptop computer. Intermittently it will fail to mount a USB-A wired mouse on booting the system up. The only workaround 'cure' is to, after Windows has booted in, unplug the mouse and then plug it straight back in again; at which point it gets detected by Windows and correctly mounted. I use Terabyte software for doing disk imaging for backups. Terabyte suite has an 'Image for Linux' component and I create a bootable flash drive of that within which I do the disk imaging. Thing is that even though at that I am using a Linux system the USB-A mouse will still on occasion fail to mount on boot into the Linux system — so this rules out Windows as being the source of the problem. The workaround solution in Linux is still to just unplug the mouse and plug it back in again.

Cutting a long story short, I tried every 'fix' I could find and none of them worked. This lead me to the conclusion that the problem was a faulty motherboard. I contacted Lenovo and they arranged for a tech to come replace the motherboard. Tech switched the boards and, cutting a long story short, found out that the new board was also faulty, though not with respect to mounting the USB-A wired mouse at boot-up. Now waiting on the tech being supplied with another new board to have another go at replacement.

Point of all this is to at least consider your motherboard might be faulty. This, I would say, is more likely in that your 'fix' is to unplug and plug the devices back in again: which likely means that Windows isn't the fault as Windows is actually correctly detecting the devices on unplug and re-plug.

(Damnable thing with this is that only a USB-A wired mouse at boot-up is affected. If I attached other USB-A devices, portable hard-drives, flash drives, then they do get properly mounted as the system boots-up. If I use a USB-C wired mouse that gets mounted properly too.)

So I did end up getting ahold of NZXT Support and the suggestions they provided were everything I had already tried. Yet they did give a little information by saying that once I get the RGBs setup on the keyboard I can completely uninstall the software and the keyboard's onboard memory will retain my settings. So I did end up completely uninstalling the software. The only problem going forward is if I need a firmware update or I want to change up my RGB customizations I'll need to download the software again. As I stated earlier there is no individual drivers you can download from the NZXT website it's all through the NZXT Cam software.
Going to be monitoring things going forward. The main issue I was having more recently was as soon as NZXT Cam software would run on startup or even if I manually ran the app the first run would always make the mouse stop working until I unplugged it and plugged it back in, so I'm hoping at least the mouse issue is fixed. The only thing I'm worried about is the DPI. Occasionally it was reset to be on the highest DPI, but that could have been because the NZXT Cam software was still installed so it might have gotten bugged out.
