I wanted to create an offline image of my laptop, by booting to the Macrium Reflect rescue media. However this also required plugging in a USB drive to my only other USB port to receive the image, but as my mouse also needs a USB port I was initially stumped as to how to proceed. If you should also run into this issue you can free up a USB port by removng the rescue media, as the rescue software itself is held in active memory and will remain fully functional without needing further access to the rescue media itself.I only wanted to test creating and verifying an image outside of Windows but in years of imaging within Windows I have never had any reason at all not to trust the MR images I had created.
