OS
Windows 11 for Workstations
I have an HC05 BT Serial adapter that works a treat with Windows 10 (I just reconfirmed that it is fully working there including un-pairing, pairing and using).

I have two other laptops, one of them is a Dell 7750 with an Intel AX201 WiFI/Bt card, and Intel BT Driver level 23.120.0.4 (latest - upgraded when it didn't work earlier today). When I try to pair the adapter it shows as connected for a couple of seconds and then goes to disconnected state. Device shows as USB\VID_8087&PID_0026&REV_0002

The other laptop won't even show the device to pair to. Device manager says: USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2B&REV_001. I installed Intel drivers 22.200.0.2 which appears to be the correct version for the AC8260NGW (which I am pretty sure is what the Panasonic WL15A is) but it fails to find any device to pair with.

To add insult to injury I tried to rollback to before 24H2 and two hours later I found it was back where I started (same updates applied), and Windows now demanding activation :(. Luckily the Troubleshooter for activation fixed that nastiness.

Have you tried using Dell Command Update to try and pull the correct drivers for the adapter?

The Panasonic Toughbook now behaves identically to the Dell - it connects to the adapter and then disconnects a few seconds later. I get to this step by setting Bluetooth device discovery to "Advanced".

So maybe the report of Disconnected is misleading? It turns out that it is. When I try to connect to the COM port the adapter creates, it works and the adapter is then shown as Connected.

Totally misleading and quite different from before.
