Solved Was the ribbon issue in File Explorer ever resolved or at least acknowledged by Microsoft?

Hi to everyone. Been a while. I'm on Windows 11 24H2 (more specifically, version 26100.3624). Was the ribbon issue in File Explorer (Windows Explorer) ever resolved or at least acknowledged by Microsoft as being a problem or a glitch? Click here to see what I'm talking about: LINK. Has there been a fix issued, or is there a workaround I haven't heard of just yet? I've been on Linux for almost a year and half; I switched back to Windows recently for reasons my own. I'm still seeing this glitch come up. I was hoping Microsoft would've fixed it after this whole time, especially after so many complaints. It's ridiculous. Anyone ... ? Thanks.

If you're talking about the 1/4 sec delay before explorer appears
a) get much faster ssds
b) get a quantum computer

Omnimaxus have you tried switching to Classic Ribbon to see if the delay still happens?
Maybe also try removing the Menu Bar just to see if it still happens?

Thanks for this. I tried switching to the classic version of the ribbon menu temporarily using the Control Panel workaround (the one where you click on the upper arrow a couple of times), but the problem is that it also affects how the right-click menus look. Creates even more of a visual inconsistency. On the desktop, there's the regular Windows 11 right-click menu, but inside the classic version, there's a different right-click menu. Ugh. I don't get it. When I was at Best Buy a couple months ago, I was mucking around on one of their PCs and File Explorer came up OK every time I tested it. I thought the problem was fixed. But apparently not ... ?

And this issue for you was evident immediately after the clean install, pre any changes or tweaks to Windows?

Do you have anything like explorer patcher running?

never seen that before in any build of 11 that i've run. enable mixed content and see. it'll speed explorer up some either way

Not sure this is a Windows problem. Well, at least I've never seen it. Even when starting multiple instances...

Wow; that is what I want. Just curious - what graphics card do you have? AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA? (I have AMD.)

After the clean install (before installing anything else). And no to Explorer Patcher, but I do have Start11 v2.

I don't see anything resembling "mixed content."

Can you kindly clarify what I should/could do next?

run that reg to add the entry...
but then you also dont list any computer specs and referenced what gpu someone else has, so its beginning to sound like a hardware issue may be your cause

Also - I do have a work laptop with Intel graphics. The same thing happens on it, too.

A bit frustrating how this happens for many people, yet doesn't for others, as well. Weird.

An issue with computers is that the only time 2 or more are exactly alike is on the dealer's shelf. Buy 2 and take them home, different people set them up and start using. It won't be long until they are no longer exactly the same, will have some differences, some small some large.

paste that code into notepad. file > save as >
