Nice sim, my obscuration comes to 92.1% here in Central Pa. If it's a day like it was today it'll get quite dark. With my luck for astronomical events it'll be cloudy.

I'll probably use my binoculars (on tripod), to project an image on white cartridge paper.

The thing I like best about a total eclipse is the way it makes all colors look like they were converted to greyscale.
It's really weird. I saw a similar thing in Cali in 1980 I think.

We are here in a good place in Ohio. We are in the path (also in the path of tornadoes

). We lived in Illinois for the 2017 eclipse and drove to Champaign, right in it's path. Praying for good weather.

IF... the weather forecast doesn't change between now and then... we should be OK in Pittsburgh.

The "Visibility" at 10 miles, worries me. I mean the sun is 93 million miles away.

The next total solar eclipse in UK including Scotland will be 23rd September 2090.

I have three choices to see it:

1) Go into suspended animation.

2) Go into space and travel close to speed of light until date is close on my return.

3) Clean out that old flux capacitor and buy a De Lorean.

March full moon 2024: The Worm Moon gets eclipsed

Unlike a partial or total lunar eclipse, the moon won't darken or turn red; during a penumbral eclipse the moon only looks a little darker than normal.

It started in Europe, as one gets to Europe and western Africa, the eclipse starts late enough that it sets before maximum; in London, it begins at 4:53 a.m. and the maximal eclipse there is at 5:57 a.m., but the moon sets only four minutes later and the actual maximum eclipse happens when the moon is below the horizon. The situation is similar in Marrakech, where the eclipse also starts at 4:53 a.m. local time, but the moon sets just before it reaches maximum at 6:33 a.m. (actual maximal eclipse is at 6:35 a.m.)

Wait and il get my hubble telescope out so i can see it from half the world away lol! Had a look to see if they covered any in the UK but says its outwith its range D: Shame, i often find myself looking at the sky/clouds/stars/planes/planets etc etc whilst having a joint, really nice!

haha absolutely, been a daily for around 10 years, sadly after the first couple months it isn;t like it is at the beginning! Frequently drop into DH mountain bike runs having blasted one at the top! Thanks! 2025 it is!
