The Windows 11 upgrade rollout plan is still being finalized but is scheduled to begin late in 2021 and continue into 2022. Specific timing will vary by device.

If you’d like to see if your current PC meets the minimum requirements, download and run the PC Health Check app.

It’s free to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. But only Windows 10 PCs that are running the most current version of Windows 10 and meet the minimum hardware specifications will be able to upgrade. You can check to see if you have the latest updates for Windows 10 in Settings/Windows Update. The free upgrade offer does not have a specific end date for eligible systems. However, Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer. This end date will be no sooner than one year from general availability.

  • 1Ghz 64-bit dual-core processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB storage
  • 9-inch display (1366x768 resolution)
  • UEFI, Secure Boot & TPM 2.0 compatible
  • DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WWDM 2.x

Ok my opinion, it looks like it's going to be another Windows 8/8.1.
It will be very polarizing, either your love it, or hate it.(I liked 8.1, except for that corners crap, where you needed to use touch gestures with a mouse, and usually needed 2,3 or 4 tries).

Nice is they are giving the icons a look like a lot of the icon packs in Linux(y)

Dang! So much for my EeePC 1025C !!! BUT, who knew this little netbook could handle Win 10 as well as it does. But it isn't 64 bit. 😭

biggest disappointment is there cutting alot of people off with the TPM 2 on older hardware hope the work around will still work when it released

No, that simply means that a 64-bit CPU is needed. Just like today, 32-bit apps still run on 64-bit systems.

My understanding (if what I have read is accurate), is that TPM 2 won't be a requirement in the final product.

EDIT: Okay, looks like I am wrong about this. The requirements do specifically call out TPM 2.0 as a requirement. Wow, I'm a bit surprised about that.

it is sadly but there a work araound hopefully it still work when released fully i got one pc with TPM support and one without
