It is mostly cloudy with a 10% of Scattered Showers & Thunderstorms. High in the mid 70s, and lows were in the lower 60s overnight last night.

Tonight, clear & dry with a low around 66. Temps tomorrow won't reach above 80. Next chance of severe weather is Friday into Saturday.

Near record today -- nearly 15 deg C and beautifully sunny -- a record in Iceland for early / mid May. My woman is going spare seeing so many men wandering around in shorts and T's -- she loves "hairy chests" too !!!! Men in shorts are not usually a common sight here. I can see the saliva dripping out of her lips. !!!! I'm old enough and been with her long enough not to worry over those things though. .

Remembering 10 years ago today:

Record low daily maximum temp of 45F in Springfield, Vermont on May 25, 2013.

(It was part of a two-day chill streak, followed by May 26, 2013, where it only got to the 50s! (F) )

Thus, making today possibly the chilliest since May 26, 2013. Today in Springfield, Vermont, was no higher than around 65F.

10 years ago, on May 25, 2013 and May 26, 2013, the chill was a rain and mountain snow regime from a low pressure system with unusually low temps.

This time, it looks like a high pressure system with unusually low temps. Being a high pressure system, local morning freezes are more likely.
