    I own too many laptops: A Dell touch screen with Windows 11 and 6 others (not counting the other four laptops I bought for this household.) Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.

I'm no Win7 die-hard, but I did like my old W7 laptop. I let it upgrade to 10 on its release back in August 2015. I know full well that shock, I felt it in spades!

But after a few weeks I began to feel as at home in 10 as I had been in 7, and by the end of the year preferred it to 7. I actually still have a Win7 laptop in regular use. The more I keep switching between using different OS versions, the less I see their surface differences and the more I see that they share a common core.

Haven't had Windows in a while. I bought an Asus Vivobook 16 laptop with Windows 11. I was buying refurbished laptops from newegg with no OS or needed licensing and i would load Linux on it

Haven't had any major issues, other than one time I booted up it wanted a license number before I could get into Windows. I did a hard reboot and haven't been asked for a license again.

I'm sure I can learn some tips and tricks here with Windows 11

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

Your uses laptops with no OS may have originally been supplied with Windows. If so then you may well find an OEM licence key embedded in the bios firmware. Read it with ShowKeyPlus, which will also tell you the edition it's for (Home or Pro). If it's a Win10 key then you can use it to activate an installed Windows 11 of the matching edition.
