I tried several versions of 24H2 on my old pc (Ryzen 7 2700, 32g ram, GeForce RTX 2600) and every time I ran into issues that forced me to go back to an image I made of 23H2. Between printing issues, PDF issues, Network issues, unable to use my legit CD Key for Pro, and several more, I think the longest I ran a copy of 24H2 was about 5 days.

I haven't tried it on my new pc (Ryzen 5 7800X3D, 32g ram, GeForce RTX 4070 Super), but I plan on waiting until the actual release comes out before I'm willing to try it.

Even with MS DOS, I started out with Ver 2.0 and wound up with Ver 6.22. After, many Updates.

OH, how I miss DOS! It was just so Clean and simple.

You’d be lucky if the release makes it by December. I suspect that a bit of whining is in order. My grandkids are due over later, they’re also about 13yo. Should be fun because I’m turning off the WiFi.

Today (24.9) 24H2? What do you think? I need to update my Virtual Machines (clean install) and i'm waiting for Stable Release not Preview. Also i need to update my Windows 11 Installation USB Flash Drive with 24H2 Stable.

There is no official release date yet. Enhanced data protection with Windows and Microsoft Copilot This post has been clarified by MS stating there is no date for now for 24H2.

And what's the hurry? I love the stability of W10 and W10 LTSC 2021, the LTSC 2024 (based on W11 24H2) is very resource hungry, and the general version (Home Pro, and so on) will be killed by MS next year, forcing people to buy new hardware (at least people that not know the existence of alternatives like LTSC or Linux)
