Windows 11 Data Usage Monitoring Failure

Hi. My internet usage data has quadrupled and it's due to my laptop. Windows 11 is supposed to show the individual apps that are using data. My version does NOT. I have been able to find nothing on the internet dealing with this issue. Every other person who has posted a screenshot like this has a screen showing a list of individual apps. I believe there must be some malware that is causing the usage spike but I can't know that because my goddamn windows doesn't show me any app usage. Please help me. Xfinity is charging me huge amounts for going over my data limit every month.

I don't know how to reply directly to anyone. @FreeBooter: this post is about restarting the monitoring at zero. I did that hoping it would fix the problem and it didn't. The counter reads zero but still no individual apps. @DigitalGoat: It shows jack rubbish as seen below. This was from before I did the reset and is supposedly tracking since 7/7 and shows next to nothing. Fabler 2: I assuming by network reset you mean router and modem, and I did that and nothing changed. If you mean turning the wifi process on and off, I have done that too whenever I'm not actively using the computer just to keep from bleeding data.

I have also tried sorting by network usage in the processes tab of task manager. I decided to watch the in/out network counter at the same time. the meter on the right shows downloading constantly even when I'm doing nothing, have everything closed, whatever, and yet the task manager on the left shows no network usage by any processes.

@jtatfsu by resetting I meant via Windows settings. It's a shot in the dark though.

You might have to consider doing a repair install if all else fails.

If resetting the network elements doesn't work then before trying a repair install or clean install (last resort) try the Sysinternals utilities, you can install them from the MS Store or download direct from the website (this allows you to pick and choose which ones you want).
The Sysinternals suite contains some very useful and powerful monitoring tools for processes, disk, RAM and network, one or a combination of these should be able to point you to the reason for your seemingly excessive download rates.
Another couple of things to try would be to use a different profile to see if the issue persists and also to start in safe mode to again check if the issue remains, this could possibly give a clue as to where the problem originates.

update. Nothing was able to enable individual app data tracking within windows settings. However, I did use the system tools that one of you gave me a link to to track network usage and it showed that a built-in ASUS app called "armoury crate" and my vonage phone app were most commonly using network resources. I uninstalled armoury crate and closed the vonage app and now the counter is not running constantly. I'm thinking one or both of these were the culprit. The counter has stopped running nonstop even when I'm not doing anything.

Seems like a classic example of totally unnecessary constantly-phoning-home proprietary (and not just ASUS) bloatware/hogware. You're better off without it

It may be worth checking your BIOS, most Asus motherboards have a BIOS option to install Armoury Crate automatically when a Windows install is detected, the option is of course on by default, because who in their right mind wouldn't want it?
I think it only works on first detection of a Windows install, but it wouldn't surprise me if it re installs itself every start up if it detects it is missing (I mean, a user couldn't possibly intentionally uninstall it) if that option is on.
