In my opinion that is not a good idea.
Insider Builds should be used for testing, not as primary systems.

Tried again. Restored back (Macrium image made just before I checked for updates) and tried the update again. Still the same errors.

Ran SFC and DISM and all reports good. Have again restored back and will now wait and see what happens. Have updates paused for 7 days as of yesterday.

It took a bit of finding but it's there, in C:\Windows\SystemApps\MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX_cw5n1h2txyewy\AIXView.dll

Of the three machines I have the Dev build on (one supported, two unsupported) two failed repeatedly with 0x8007371B. All three were on build 26100.268 (KB5036908). This is from my supported device:

Ironically it was my unsupported System Two that succeeded first time. I had to restore both the others back to 26100.1 before I could get the 26120.461 update to install.

I'm on 26100.268 and this laptop is fully supported.

Do you mean it just worked when you tried again without you altering or doing anything else first?

I did try it earlier on the restored image and it failed again.

You are not modifying the registry, you are actually restoring what was erroneously deleted.

Maybe a dumb question but why would they be deleted? and would those entries be correctly present in build 26100.1

I see the entries are set out as 'code' in the post by @Tekkie Boy and so can be copied exactly. Could I just save those in Notepad as a reg file extension and merge them. Its not intuitive to me what to do with them... I would have to read up on it
