Success a million thankyou's @FreeBooter.

Such a relief.

Can I ask how to remove the additional administrator account or is that a simple Google now I'm back in the old administrator account? Thank you.

@NormanF with kids in the house it's a somewhat necessity. The odd thing is when I changed the password I checked. It was a simple password "Sunday" and whilst there may have been a typo I did double check before confirming and made a note. I am dyslexic so maybe I made an error, but I'm pretty sure I got it right. In these situations my memory is fairly eidetic. Can still see the screen and words in my mind. But I can't rule out human error in my case 😅

@FreeBooter hi

Just to check to remove the admin account I attempted this in Kali and showed successful.
Still see the admin account on existing windows logo screen ie change user
Also checking all preferences for ie Outlook logo seem to have reset would that be normal behaviour.
Thanks

I cant get sound back.

When I close down the unlocked admin profile it will show following applications are stopping when logging off/resetting which is shown simply as "t".
Further issues no audio - soundcards all installed working setup but no visible/audible audio passing through any apps or even window sounds which is odd. I understand this can be to do with an app applying exclusice execution - but I am aware my soundcard as multi app playback but is normally ASIO driven.

So I'm going to recall the backup I did prior to the start of this journey.

A tech guy at works recommended for simplicity (due to the issues with the SAM file)
Bob.Ombs.Modified.Win10PEx64.v4.98

Any ideas on this one - apparently its more straight forward in removing the password.
I am wondering if the second admin setup has fowled up my original admin account.

Either way if Bob.Ombs fails I can recall the install again and retry the Kali method again.

Thanks for your time so far.

OK restored and ran. Through it all again.
Randomly sorted the sound issues.
Disconnected external sound card.
Connected USB headphonws.
Disconnected headphones and switched on external soundcard.
Must have snapped whatever was dominating it and now all working.
Think I will be able to delete the admin account created today if get time.
So almost resolved.
I just don't know what the "t" app is that's always running at shut down.
But for now I'm marking as resolved.
@FreeBooter and @SIW2
Thank you so very much for your patience, help and support.
Have a great one.

Edwin told me once and I have forgotten. Do you have a Logitech update service running all the time? It could be that but I really can’t recall.
