I have been using that.
You have S3 Sleep so you can a use NirCmd shortcut to do the job as explained in my earlier post.
Just paste the PowerShell command from Option Nine of the tutorial into the Target field of your desktop shortcut.
Try disabling Hibernate... powercfg /hibernate off. Then check if the shortcut now puts the device to sleep.
There is simply no need to keep on struggling like this. On systems that support S3 sleep, my solution just works, and works regardless of whether Hibernate is on. You don't need NirCmd by Nir Sofer, and also you don't need PsShutdown by Mark Russinovich.
