So, I managed to come off the ledge a bit regarding the lack of support for anything below an 8th gen Intel Core CPU. I read an article that explained that with the final release Windows will allow installation of CPUs prior to the 8th gen but it will warn that it is not recommended.
If that is in fact what really happens in the final product, I can live with that :).
That is 100% true. Do keep in mind, I shouldn't need to say it since peoples do know but there is an update on the advisor. It should tell you that your processor is not compatible.
They've yet to put in the notice saying it's possible but not advisable.
