Ya... starting with 22H2, RoundedTB was needed to get rid of the line at the top of the Taskbar.
That's now built into TranslucentTB, with a few other things.
I would just remove the current version and use the newest version and see if it helps?

It has a check box in it's settings to tell it to Start with Windows. As far as I know, it's always had that.

I know it says "Open" at boot... but it means "Run" at boot.
This is the installed version. Maybe the portable version needs started manually?

Brb I'm gonna get on Win 11. (there... that's a Win 11 pic)

I must be using the MS store version, cause I don't see it in Program Files or Program Files (x86)...
When I right click TranslucentTB in the Start menu and choose more then App settings, I get this...

As always, you can download this release from the Microsoft Store, or by downloading and opening the TranslucentTB.appinstaller file below. Additionally, Windows 11 users can download the portable version by downloading TranslucentTB-portable-x64.zip.

It seems the installer version IS the MS Store version.

That's why I stayed on the release version. I'm too old for dev versions.

I'm gonna install the newer version of TranslucentTB and see if I can get rid of RoundedTB.

OK... I used REVO to uninstall the old version and got the new version (2022.1.0.0), from MS Store.
Rebooted comp, and it started with boot, and no need for RoundedTB.

So MS Store seems to have the latest version as shown on Github.

Ok... now I need to make a new backup, because I had to Take Ownership of the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps ...folder, again.

It seems MS keeps Taking Ownership back from me. LOL

Whew... Work, work, work.

Negative. I did try the UEFI mode in Rufus - No good. Many have tried and many have failed to get a free bootable PW after 9.1. (Or at least I have tried and failed). As I recall in those attempts there is no ISO in the later versions (nothing made on optical disk), just the bootable stick...

Yes, but it never worked, even dev said something that it is a limitation of store apps.
I tried to put it into startup myself, but that did not work either. It is very odd.

Hi @Ghot,

Not really a tweak but a time saving tip if you are using the MS Store.
To get directly to the library page to check for updates, Enter the following:

"ms-windows-store://downloadsandupdates"

If you want to create a shortcut in order to pin it:
Create the shortcut with target:

explorer.exe "ms-windows-store://downloadsandupdates"

When Windows 24H2 comes out I want to reformat the game drive to 8K cluster size.

Bigger cluster sizes (allocation units on SSDs), will run a bit faster, but they waste a lot of space on the drive.
I don't think you'll notice much of a speed difference on an SSD, except maybe in benchmarks.
