Hi! I'm using a 4K TV with a Windows 11 PC with Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti connected through HDMI and I'm having an issue where if I turn off the TV then back on, or if I switch the HDMI back, or if I change the resolution in a game the colors become washed out and the only trick I've found to make it lood good again is restarting the PC. But afterwards doing those changes again reverts the colors back. I also have an Xbox Series X connected to the same TV and it never has this problem.

Just updated to Windows 11 24H2 and the issue persists. Wanted to ask if anyone might know the fix.

Anyone? Could be bad firmware on the TV and nothing I could do? There are no firmware updates for this TV.

HDR and auto color management are turned off. I did a comparison with main menu of same game on Xbox and PC. PC looks the same after restarting, otherwise contrast is lowered, image is more gray. It is a cheap 27" Chinese 4K TV but it looks good, don't feel the need to buy a monitor, just have to do these annoying restarts. I used CRU to delete the other 4K resolutions (59 hz, 30 hz, etc.). Wondered if this could be fixed permanently or just the TV is bugged? And they don't release firmware updates.

So HDR is disabled from Windows. Check the color settings on the TV and also disable HDR (if available) there. Also try changing the HDMI signal from RGB to YCbCr or vice versa. This changes from nVidia Control Panel, custom nVidial color settings. If you have 12-bit try reducing it to 8-bit per color channel. Have you installed latest drivers directly from nVidia? I don't trust Windows Update.
