Windows Mail, Outlook 365 and New Outlook can't sync with Yahoo Mail

Last night, my Yahoo email account stopped working. I used the wizard in Windows Mail, and everything logged in fine except for nothing is being synced. I've tried to manually add the account because the New Outlook didn't have the normal Yahoo wizard working correctly either. I'm guessing the server isn't working properly. The other possibility is perhaps the firewall is blocking it???

Suggestions anyone

If there’s no Yahoo option when setting up & have to use Other then you most likely will require an app specific password generating via your account online.

I was told an app specific password was needed to setup a Gmail account in Outlook. So I tried it. After signing up to Google Gmail and activating 2FA via MS Authenticator in Gmail (not turning on App Password in Google) and using Authenticator when adding Gmail to Outlook, it was all that was needed.
I wonder what yahoo can do. I might test it out tomorrow.

I only had to use an app specific password for iCloud mail with the Windows Mail app... Outlook, Google and Yahoo is entering your email address and password. The "Other" option for Yahoo doesn't work right now either. Everything was working fine last weekend... around Tuesday this week is when is when Yahoo started to act up.

I was able to get the new Outlook to work correctly... but it's not a complete program yet and doesn't generate its own notifications or sounds without relying on the Windows Mail App or Outlook 365 to do so.

I found a workaround that works...
Unable to login to Yahoo email account
This did work for me. I had to login to my Yahoo email account using Edge browser and entered my credentials in the Windows Mail App at the same time.

Yes, if outlook mail has the Yahoo option then it will ask for authentication then open yahoo in order to enter the account details. If not then an app specific password is needed.
