I've updated to the 24H2 on feb 14 by chance,
After the update I had to fix some stuff manually as this update seem to be treated like an upgrade.
For the most part I've managed to make everything in working condition again and didn't encountered some issues people talked about online so far,
But few things I did notice were that Edge suddenly take at least 6 secs to close up, and that win securety takes around 6 secs to show its page,
Upon trying to repair and reset them (as well as Audio Realtek Console cause it also was messed up) I've noticed that not much happened as they all kept their settings and the issues were still presented.
It seem to at least remove Edge history so it didn't completely ignored the repair optionI think (I only did repair for Edge), and I did managed to "fix" Edge issue by trun off the hardware accelerator thingy, and fix Audio Realtek Console by reinstall it,
However with win securety nothing seem to work,
Even sfc /verifyonly didn't found any issus where it should since I did changed few parts in the system such as turning off the updates and used stuff like StartItBack, Winaero Tweaker, and O&O ShutUp10++ to change some system settings, (Or at least the SFC did showed it detect changes in my OS before said upgrade which made me assumed it was due to these changes)
All of that made me wonder,
Since windows was upgraded, is it being treated as a new OS and somehow applying my changes on the old OS folder which isn't in used or something?
I know it made Windows.old folder but that one is used only to return to the old OS build (23H2) before the update right? the apps shouldn't look into that folder instead of the main folder so Idk wth is going on
I have some system image and backup from week ago, but I would rather not go back or use the system restoration/remove the upgrade (which got even lower chances to work) since I did so many things since then and the OS does working with no other issues so far,
It's just these small issues that made me want to know if they're supposed to be like that or if they're fixable.
