I couldn't see anything in the dashboard even under various menus. Hopefully turning it off in services will do the trick.

If you look closely, you will see the EaseUS symbol and a notification that you haven't made a backup in 29 days. There's no need to turn anything off. Just make regular backups and the popup will stop.

I have the paid version and I get the popup on my desktop. I only use EaseUS about once a month. I make my weekly backups with Macrium.

FYI. I just ran EaseUS Todo Backup and it's updating to version 14.2.0.0

Thanks Winuser. No I probably don't back up often enough. Last one was about a month ago :) . Having said that - most of my laptop contents are historic - never have much new stuff to add apart from a few bookmarks. And a few new files - so yes I'm due a backup! I just make system images now and then and back up files now and then.

just be careful, it could be a scam. that is what they are trying to do, scare you.

all its saying is because you havent made a backup in 29 days that whatever data(programs, files etc) you have on your PC currently hasnt been backed up. Can I ask why you arent backing it up daily or say even once a week? I use EaseUs Todo Backup Pro and I backup on a daily schedule to a 2TB drive with nothing else on it but my backups. I have mine set to keep the very 1st backup forever and then 2 more copies that it will overwrite the last 2 one after the other with newest ones.

Being an Insider I try to make a weekly Macrium image. My other backup programs I use every month or two. Too be honest, I have been putting off using my other backup programs.

Or it could be an honest program that's just giving a friendly reminder. I have the paid version of EaseUS and get the popup when I haven't made an image in a while.

As mentioned above I perhaps don't back up often enough. It's a laptop and ends up on the bed or sofa mostly so not rigged up to anything for daily back ups. I do an up to date system image now and then and file backups now and then. But nothing new I add is crucial. If I add something crucial, I do a back up.

You're quite right. Even though I know it is Ease US Todo, I am thoroughly ingrained in the habit of not clicking on anything!., Instead I would open up the program directly.

From post #1, " I just click the cross to get rid of it usually.". If it was a program trying to infect your computer that would be a no no. If not sure don't click on anything. Restarting your computer using Control>Alt>Delete would be safer.

Not sure all your guys reasoning saying its a scam. Its a simple read what it says. You just said at least twice that you dont backup very often all it is is a reminder for you to do a backup so your system is backed up and your info is secure. Nothing more. Everyone is freaking out over nothing. Those reminders are a part of what the software does... As I said I use the same software and have gotten the same thing once or twice before I went to doing a daily backup. I've clicked on it and my system is safe. So are my cats..lol. Actually all you need to do is go into EaseUs and turn off all notifications then thats it. Look at my screenshot..

EaseUS almost had me freaking out. I just ran it for the first time after doing the update and it showed the 30-day trial message. Then I found out that I just needed to click on the option to activate. The key was already listed.

Easeus makes some really useful software that works well, but some of the Easeus apps' nags and popups aggravate me big time. The fact that MWB recognizes some of them as questionable has always bothered me as well. I've always wondered why it does. I, too, tried ToDo from the giveaway offer, but removed it for this same exact reason since IMO it just didn't measure up to Macrium anyway. Although I appreciated the opportunity to try ToDo, I figured why change what works.

All relative to each user. I used Macrium and Acronis and they just didnt work for me. Backups worked fine problem is..is I have 3 drives. one 2TB SSD main(C

rive), one 2TB SSD(storage for games etc), and one 2TB HHD for Backups with nothing else on it but my backups. Its an older one but it works for backups. Theres the issue is my backups are on the HHD and when I need to reinstall from a backup EaseUs was the only software that would recognize my HHD drive and its own backups on it. Which is why I say again its all relative to what the user needs. I never get nagged by EaseUs. Never. all I see is the little popup window in the lower right corner of my screen that says backup started for the day and that it was succesful. and it fades and goes away and thats it. So how that would be annoying to many I have no clue.

I don't seem to have the same problem. I back up Drive 1 to Drive 2. I also backup Drive 3 to Drive 2. Any restore recognizes all the backups on Drive 2.
I'm sure ToDo is good software that does its job. We all have our ways of doing things that we like and that works for our individual situations. That's the most important thing. I guess my philosophy is if it works for me, I need to leave it alone. I realize there are more than one way to skin a cat. (Don't anyone panic, I am a cat lover and have several. It's only a saying and I'm from the south. I don't actually skin cats.)
