This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off caret browsing in Microsoft Edge for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Caret browsing allows you to navigate pages with a text cursor.
With caret browsing on, you can move the caret within a web page using the Up, Down, Left, and Right directional arrow keys and Home, Page Up, and Page Down buttons on your keyboard.
To select text, images, or other elements on the page, hold down Shift while moving the caret.
For example, to open the menu for an image on the page:
Use the arrow keys to move the caret immediately before the image.
