Anyone notice how the 7800X3D prices have suddenly shot back up? Used to be down around the $330 mark and now back up to just under $400. Guess the not so great results from Zen5 is effecting this. I had been considering building my son a newer gaming system using the 7800X3D but guess I need to hold off now. I've almost hit the buy button multiple times over the last few weeks.

If demand is higher than supply, the price goes up. If the components that make the board are scarce, the prices go up. There are probably many factors. Most of all I think demand, because these capitalist mongrels are unforgiving.

You can also change the "length" of the price history graph.


And as @pparks1 mentioned, Microcenter usually has the best prices. Even better if you buy a combo, like motherboard and CPU. BUT... Microcenter sales are for pickup only.

Especially if those are prices for items that are not sold by Amazon.

The graph is incorrect at least in regards to Best Buy. I had been checking my local one often while I was tempting myself into getting the parts. I know for a fact it was in the lower $300s as I mentioned. I was also checking on Amazon as well where it had been the lower price.
What made me post this is I was checking my local Best Buy the other day and thought...WOW....when did they raise the price?

It's likely somewhat more than 1 hour and 0 minutes, though. Looks like the nearest one, is Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I’m looking at a Intel Core i9 13900F 24 Core on a ROG Maximus so at least around AUD$2600. $400 sounds good.
But time will tell and I’m expecting something newer, not the new is better, especially for cost, obviously.
Got to spend your money on something. Can’t take it with you when you’re gone.

There's been a rash of faulty chips. Avoid 13th and 14th gen for the time being!

If I bought a new laptop every year, at $2500 a year x 10 years, that’s $25,000
