@Wynona, for your group, you could perhaps have one family licence and lend a licence to 4 of your students so they can learn the basics without having to pay up front. The licence owner (you) has complete control over other users i.e. you can revoke them as a user, and pass licence to another user.

That's what we plan to do. In fact, three licenses have been shared, but the fourth license is hung up because our student doesn't seem to "get it". We're going to work on that this week. As well, I have two of my 6 licenses left to share with two more of our students.

I think I'm getting it into my head how to do this.

Yes, i use OneDrive pretty extensively. Number 1 I have office 365 and all users get 1TB of OneDrive space. Number 2, I have all of families cell phones that backup pictures and videos to their individual 1TB OneDrive folder. Thus if the phone is damaged, lost or dies....they have everything in 2 places.

I prefer using OneDrive for many documents and such, as I then have easy access from all of my home computers, cell phones, and work computers at the office, and literally any place that has a web browser and Internet access. One thing I like is that this keeps my data files in at least 2 locations. Thus if my house burns to the ground (like my sisters did), if my backups and source aren't in the same location, I won't lose them.

Whether you trust cloud storage in any way, will dictate your comfortability using it.

Superb. You were ahead of my suggestion. Of course, I assume you are only loaning licence for a period.

Don't forget when you go to revoke a licence, you make sure all onedrive for that user is wiped (not sure if revoking a user does that automatically - I guess it should but.......).

Yep, the recipient is told and understands that when the subscription is up, their access will end unless other arrangements are made.

I don't think we'll have any problem revoking licenses . . . I guess we'll cross the OneDrive bridge when we get there.

You bring up a good question; members should be told to save documents, etc., to their computers, rather than let OneDrive have access! That way, no problem . . .
