All browsers not finding www.facebook.com

BamaInArk correct, mobile is however logged into facebook account. I reckon if I logged out I would get same result. I did tether as I wondered if this was an ISP issue but that has eliminated that.

I can later tonight or tomorrow do a refresh install of Win 11 but that can be problematic in itself and I read this has not fixed things for others.

Have you tried an other browser (like a browser you never used before), on the same machine? As that page that you showed, with the "Sorry Something Went Wrong" is an actual facebook message from there website, so the connection to the site is working. So DNS, peering are working correctly.

Someone on there said, maybe there was an account change, and you might have gotten an email from facebook? Have you checked that yet?

And to go to:
So when I got locked out of my account I checked the email associated with the facebook account and looked around for old emails from facebook that directed me to 2FA and after searching my old emails I found one that had a link to direct me to enable my 2FA

My email had the subject "Facebook Account Change" and this was the link I clicked to recover my account: Log in to Facebook

www.facebook.com is working for me with Edge browser....

Facebook.webp

Anyway, if using Edge, go to Settings, Privacy, search, and services, scroll to Delete browsing data. Under Time range, choose an option, click Choose what to Clear, and checkmark Cached images and files. Hit Clear now and see if that works. If not, you might clear all data, but that's a last resort nuke option.

Let us know.

DRU2, Unfortunately I did all that and since I last posted checked in via mobile to my account to reset 2FA in case that was the issue. Still neither my desktop nor my laptop see anything other than what I posted earlier

What you see is more or less what I would expect.

I downloaded Firefox but was the same but I will download another and see.
Try to use TOR browser, it creates it's own VPN bypassing Windows settings.
You can also use this to monitor network activity, to see, if the connection was responded to.
On top of it, System Informer nicely shows, if the connection was blocked by a firewall.

I did have some small success late last night (I am in UK) when following the 2FA suggestion by TESTER I reset up login using 2FA via mobile (which seems unaffected by the Windows issue). Suddenly the Brave browser on my laptop allowed login and device registration? Other browsers on the same laptop seemed unaffected and still returned broken page. The webpage source contains this which might be a red herring "fail_bad_preloaders" which to me suggests an error in the receiving webpage at Facebooks end? But I do not know.

I tried the TOR browser builtin my Brave browser on my desktop but neither this, private or ordinary mode work.

Will try to find time to use Web and Browser Consoles as suggested by z3r010 and report back.

All suggestions and ideas very much appreciated. First Class thanks to all of you.
