Annoying problem

I was on the 10 froum years then when I graduated to Win 11 thought I had better join here too. Now Are you saying I never did, my memories are funny things.

Well, as @z3r010 said, the other user “Bogart” isn’t you.
You were able to register as “Bogart99” which means that you weren’t registered here already under that username.
So; either you used a differen’t username, or you never registered here.

But that’s OK because now you’re registered at both forums with the same username… Huzza!

Thanks for all the inputs guys most appreciated. Tried all the above and problem still exiists but again no consistancy. I can try one website
get nothing except the web server error open another loads instantly. Problem is next time I try it they reverse one I had problems with
is now fine and vv. Now an m not sure if this problem has been there before or I have just not really noticed it. Running ookla speedtest it takes an eternity well 10/15 seconds plus on some occasions should it take this long? Occasionally throws in the towel with download error message.
Next time finds server nearly instantly and off we go.

You linked to a help forum, link us to the page where Microsoft said it’s aware of a problem?
I am sorry Antspants, but I don't recall where I read that about a week ago. But search on google: (KB5041585) and you will find tons of complaints about this update.

Did you setup the router yourself when you got it?
If so, it doesn’t hurt to reset a router back to defaults then set it up again.

If you didn’t do it yourself, contact the ISP.
It could be an issue with your connection that the ISP may be able to sort out.

Now going from bad to worse. I thought as problem only started a few days back I would remove recent Win11 updates, namely KB5042099 and
KB 5041585. Told it to stop updates for the max 5 weeks. Uninstalled both then rebooted. It ignored the 5 week thing and found both updates still present.
So repeated operation now my start button on keyboard nor screen work. Clicking either am told my start menu isn't working, pretty obvious statement, and we will try to fix next time. Problem is it does fix it so start menu still not working.

It’s OK, I don’t believe that link has anything to do with your problem. It appears to be for server operators.

Before I begin has anything happened to the forum as it will not take my old login details, saying they are incorrect?

Anyway over the past few weeks have noticed a problem that is either getting worse or I perceive it so. That is namely the
speed with which a site loads. My internet speed is around 35Mbps, I know not fast but way bigger than it used to be
and when I did not experience this problem. I will click on a website and all I get is the blue dot going back and forth for up to 10 seconds
and then I get a timeout message. If I open multiple sites I am stuck with the last one as it seems to get priority, in doing nothing. Can happen
over a range of sites, new ones and well visited ones.
Annoyingly this scenario is not consistant. At times things load with no delay. Have run AV and malware checks both come back as no
problem. Be great if someone could pointme in the right direction.
I had (what sounds like) a similar problem for a long time. The problem lay with my ISP who provides the Wi-Fi in my apartment building. After complaining to them at length and persistently, they eventually did 'something' and the problem went away. It was not a problem with my Windows 11 computer, as the same problem existed on my other devices (iPad, iPhone, TV). So, you might want to see if your problem is present on other devices you may have.

Just as an addition got a damned annoying Skype startup problem. I deleted Skype, or thought I did but it still pops up with a screen full of rubbish each time I start pc. Going to settings>apps it does not show Skype. Going to task manager>startup apps it shows
Skype(20) with status enabled and startup impact high.
How do I get rid of every trace of skype?
