Task Scheduler Problem

Is there a way to control that?
Possibly, but why not just try disabling Sleep/Hibernation/et al altogether, and see what happens over a couple of days. If that still doesn't work, might rule out the possible cause being sleep/hiber/etc, and lead to the need for looking at something else as the cause

Ok, I got back home last night and had left this "Run every day at 7:00 AM" task running, and there was no output on my printer. While I was gone I was thinking about the fact that, with my PC set to sleep after 10 minutes, the task works perfectly in my test of leaving it sit for 3-4 hours but doesn't work when left sleeping overnight. This morning I happened to wake up at 6:00 AM so got up and "woke" up the computer and then went back to bed, letting it go back to sleep after it's 10 minutes. When I got up around 7:15 I checked the printer and Viola! The printout was there!

So, rather than a Task Scheduler issue this definitely seems to be a sleep/hybernate issue. After some (currently undetermined) amount of time the PC seems to go from a normal "sleep" to something more like a "comatose" mode. I guess I'll have to start chasing the "Modern Standby" issue that was pointed out by @antspants . And perhaps I should start a different thread under that title so that it might attract some experts on that subject.

Just a thought (sorry I forget what printer you have, if mentioned)
Is there a sleep or shutdown timer in the printer settings?

The printer does go to sleep (at least the screen turns off) but I don't think that's the problem, as in my testing, I've never done anything to "wake" it. For example, when I have set the task to run in 4 hours and the PC goes to sleep, the printout prints 4 hours later without me having to wake the printer.

A workaround would be to turn off sleep mode on the PC but since I leave it powered on 7x24 I like to think I'm saving a few pennies by having it sleep when I'm not using it.
