I was going to give KODI a try. When I first ran the app on my Roku I got as far as the screen about Green and White User names, read the terms and decided to try something else. I just need a decent local streaming app and Emby (basic) seems to be a good replacement for Mezzmo. I tried Jellyfish but found it harder to setup the Metadata than Emby so I uninstalled it. Does Kodi show the Metadata info or just the folders and files like in Windows File Explorer? If it shows the Metadata I might give it a try someday.Kodi works on those types of devices including latest Amazon Firestick models.Emby also installs on Amazon firestick but needs to connect to a host.
