Interesting..., very dissonant though!
I will admit, I'm not too familiar with many 20th century works, although, the likes of Ravel, Orff, even Khachaturian are cool.
I even like some of Olivier Messiaen's organ works.

Shostakovich plays around with the famous 'Lone Ranger" theme (aka William Tell overture) in the first movement. Some of the other movements he quotes some solemn Wagner.

New release from Decca in 24/96khz, the sound is forward. Khachaturian isn't on the same level as Tchaikovsky or Shostakovich but his music is a good listen.
