Because I'm mainly an Intel person, I have questions about BIOS settings on AMD systems

On my MSI AMD B550 chipset, press DEL for setup menu or F11 for Boot Menu.

I know. It's just that even though SDD prices have gone up, the total cost of a 10 Gbps USB enclosure and a 1TB NVMe SSD is still one heck of a lot cheaper in comparison.

It's still a tad slower in comparison. That plus the fact that it's a lot more expensive like I said. At least it would need to be very heavily discounted for it to be worth buying it new. Unless maybe if you happen to be too obsessed with the smaller form factor and/or maybe if you are too lazy to insert an SSD into an enclosure. Not saying you are, but I fail to see what else could be gained besides looks or things like that. To me, personally, it's more a question of why should I get rid of my pair of 256GB thumb drives if they still work and I bought them at 100 Euros each in 2018 when SSDs were much more expensive.

I hate all USB connectors (and their cables).
They are probably the worst connectors ever invented.

And, as if that weren't enough... now they're making them even smaller, so they "break" even more easily.

IMHO, USB-C is OK.

Micro and Mini USB are abominations.

True, but I love the tiny size of this. I was carrying around an external SSD for a while, but it was a hassle. I carry this thumb drive on a lanyard around my neck, so I literally have it everywhere that I go.

I wasn't talking about an external SSD, though. Rather, I was talking about putting an internal M.2 NVMe into a 10 Gbps USB exclosure. The 1TB WD Blue SN570 currently sells for $54.35 on Amazon. Add the SKK enclosure to that (with the 5% coupon), and the total cost will be $72.40. Whereas the PNY 1TB Pro Elite V2 currently is $98.35. That's a $25.95 price difference, which is still a lot. IMO it's a little bit hard to swallow especially if you also consider the fact that the sustained write speed will be more than 50% faster, also in addition to being $25.95 cheaper.

Can anyone confirm this?
With an ASUS Intel MB where F8 gets boot menu, DEL gets BIOS.
Use bcdedit to set the bootmenupolicy to legacy
This will change the function of the F8 key to the old W10 style boot menu and you can change it back to the W11 standard with a similar command. Thanks
